The vision behind "Virginia Dreams Center Stage," established by founders Nelson and Rose Swartz, is to feature a mix of local performers along with a host of Nashville stars.
Initially, the show's expectation was to successfully produce a pilot Christmas show. But in the hearts of the cast and crew were hopes the show would somehow catch on and become a regular weekly showcase of music and talent. Soon their dreams became a reality as the show caught on and became an overnight success, branching out beyond local markets.
"Virginia Dreams Center Stage" consists of a wide variety of Country, Gospel, Bluegrass and some original music, while largely featuring the positive side of music.
The founders, Nelson and Rose Swartz, are not new to the country music scene by any stretch of the imagination. Rose's father was a lead guitarist and directed country music bands in the Shenandoah Valley for years. His talents appeared on a number of local radio stations. She also had a dear friend, Conway Twitty, that made a name for himself in the business. She is face of Virginia Dreams, and you can see her and Braelyn regularly on the commercials and intros for the show along with the five auto dealerships that make up the Harrisonburg Auto Mall. Nelson admits that he is the greatest country music listener in the world. He would, and sometimes does, listen to country music all night long. He's a true fan.
For those of you that have never been to Nashville, it's our "Virginia Dream" to bring Nashville to you!
